Congratulations ExCEL Academic League! ExCEL wins the 2008 Orca Bowl

On Saturday, February 9, despite record levels of snow in the
Cascade Mountains, thirteen high school teams coming from
nine schools across Washington State competed on campus in this
ocean sciences jeopardy-style competition. All day long, they
answered rapid-fire and challenge questions about the biology,
chemistry, geology, physics, history and economics of the ocean.

The ExCEL Academic League team wins the Orca Bowl competition
for the second time in a row. This year, these bright and
enthusiastic homeschoolers will compete next against 24 other
regional teams from around the country in the National Ocean
Sciences Bowl. We wish them great success and an unforgettable
experience in Seward, Alaska on April 25-27, 2008!
